Skiing at Christmas

Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow....

There is nothing quite like a white Christmas surrounded by your nearest and dearest. Mulled wine, Frank and Bing singing softly, and copious amounts of chocolate. Yep, that pretty much sums up my Christmas.

Of course, there was the skiing as well! There is nothing better than getting a gondola up to the top of the mountain, enjoying the view and the thrill of skiing back down. The only downside is convincing yourself you don't need to exercise before you go, as you are fit enough and having cramps and achy legs the entire time!

I love how the French celebrate Christmas Eve more so than Christmas Day. The day of Christmas Eve was so magical and festive, there were beautiful fireworks in the evening and there was no mad rush to the shops, just relaxed and joyful people.

The entire trip we couldn't decide if this was a beaver or mouse! There was no beaver tail but then again, no mouse ears? I guess we will never know!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas, wherever you were. If you ever get the chance to go to the Alps, whether it be at Christmas or not, I highly recommend it!
